Small Schiaparelli ‘Shocking’ perfume bottle, influenced by Salvador Dali and Surrealist artist Leonor Fini, after Mae West’s torso, in glass dome, introduced 1936, circa late 1930s

 

The perfume bottle with frosted dibber and multi-coloured plastic flower and fabric leaf decoration, in glass dome with transfer lace decoration on gold base

 

The bottles shape, inspired by Salvador Dali’s paintings and the sculptured by Eleonore Fini based on Mae West’s curvaceous torso, and draped in shocking pink was originally made in Czechoslovakia. It was re-launched in 1998.
