Convertible dress clip brooch with pearl and marcasite stones c1940

This is a silver brooch or convertible dress clip, the circular form set with a real pearl and marcasite stones. The main part of the brooch is silver and the clip fitting is most likely white metal. Although unmarked, it is probably American.
