Decorative tile panel with three Koi Carp, C20th

This is a highly decorative tile panel, comprising four pieces modelled and painted to form a composite picture of three koi carp swimming amidst bubbles and weeds. At least one similar panel can be found and there are probably more but there is no indication of the maker who probably had a small studio workshop producing similar items. It is probably safest to date this panel to the late twentieth century which would be in keeping with the construction of the frame. Even if the maker must remain anonymous, this does not in any way detract from the features of a striking decorative composition.
