LOT NUMBER 5
Royal Doulton figure of a lady, Images Collection – Carefree, 1980s
A finely modelled Art Deco style white glazed figure of a lady, her right arm raised almost in the act of catching her hat, with her wind swept robe flowing behind her. This piece comes from the ‘Images’ collection produced by Royal Doulton in the 1980s and comprising a set of figures in a contemplative style sometimes deriving from the more abstract works of Henry Moore or Barabara Hepworth. The design here, entitled ‘Carefree’, is more realistic though and the model number ‘HN 3206’ indicates that it was created by one of Doulton’s talented designers at the time, Robert Jefferson. It survives in excellent condition allowing the elegance of its composition to be appreciated today.| Size: | Ht 31cm, Width (max) 15cm, Depth (max) 9cm |
| Weight: | 540gm |
| Date: | 1980s |
| Condition: | Good condition, no issues. |
