Edmund Blampied, Etching 'Bathing Machine', dated Sep 1926, pressing numbered 76/100. Edmund Blampied (1886 - 1966) was born in Jersey where he eventually settled in 1938 after studying and then working in London where he exhibited frequently. He was noted mostly for his etchings and drypoints published at the height of the print boom in the 1920s, but was also a lithographer, caricaturist, cartoonist, book illustrator and artist in oils, watercolours, silhouettes and bronze.
