LOT NUMBER 12
Small carved Apple Green Bakelite Buckle, marked Cescesin 285, British 1930s
This is a lovely small buckle comprising two square panels of apple green Bakelite carved in an Art Deco style design with stylised foliage and engraved circle devices both set in a chromed metal surround with a loop clasp marked Cescesin 285 which is presumably a maker’s mark, although this cannot be identified. The apple green tones are unusual and the almost minimalist form of this buckle is very much typical of its era.Size: | 4.5cm x 2.2cm |
