LOT NUMBER 9
Arts and Crafts pewter cruet set c. 1910
This is a striking set of a mustard pot with glass lining and spoon with a salt and pepper made by by 'Craftsman Pewter', Sheffield. They are in hammered pewter and are styled to have an 'olde world' look. This is not quite as modern looking as Arts and Crafts pieces were at that time but the simple lines and hammered effect denote this period of design although this is complicated by the mill grain detail on the salt and pepper and the lion feet on the mustard pot that are more Georgian in appearance . A real mixture of styles then! Marked 'Craftsman Pewter Sheffield' on the bottom of the mustard.PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS FREE UK SHIPPING ON THIS ITEM. For international buyers the shipping cost will be reduced by the UK shipping cost, so don't worry if you are outside the UK, you still receive this benefit!
