Goldtone Corocraft Necklace, 1960s
This is a lovely and substantial necklace by Corocraft with an adjustable closure for a perfect fit. Marked 'C Corocraft'.The Company was founded in 1901 in New York by Emanuel Cohn and Carl Rosenberger, who originally operated under the name "Cohn & Rosenberger." It started producing jewellery using less costly materials, such as glass, but quickly transitioned to more expensive media, changing its name to "Coro" in the 1920s and introducing the 'Corocraft' range of costume jewellery in the 1930s, which was to continue and develop until the 1980s and beyond. Corocraft's intricate designs and high-quality materials make it a popular and desirable line of vintage jewellery, highly suitable for the collector.
