LOT NUMBER 13
Murano Art Glass Dish, 1960s
An Art Glass dish made by the well known firm of Murano, based in Venice, Italy, the flowing triangular form with turned over sides indented to the centre and joining at three complementary 'lips', the blue glass skilfully combined with clear glass and shades of brown. Just possibly intended as an ashtray, the design is striking and appealing and representative of the best Murano work. A circa date in the 1960s is likely and the style matches other designs from that era.Size: | 22cm (max) x 20cm (max) x 7cm (max) |
