Vintage Japanese Doll of a Hat Seller, C20th
A vintage Japanese Doll of a lady, standing with her head turned to the right and wearing an elaborate floral robe tied with a sash at the back. Her hair is covered by a simple circular cap form hat which acts almost as a sample of the wares she is holding in each hand, three sets of similar hats linked with cord. Like the young ladies in the previous lot, this is another excellent example of the rather charming dolls made in Japan after the 1950s and probably dates to the same period in the late C20th.| Size: | Ht 16cm; Base 9cm x 6cm |
