Goldette NY Egyptian Revival Statement Necklace, 1970s

This is a very striking heavy necklace with a very large central pendant with seven drops ending in glass beads. Made from gilt metal. Goldette was a costume jewelry company that was founded in the 1950s and produced jewelry until the 1970s. It is signed Goldette on the reverse. It is rare to find costume jewellery that is so robust and well made as Goldette pieces were.
Size: Necklace 48 cm long, pendant is 9 cm diameter
Weight: 139 grams
Date: 1980s
Condition: Very good condition, some of the gold has rubbed off but does not detract from the piece
Estimate: £80 – 100
