Art Deco Davidson purple cloud glass bowl on stand 1930s
This is a stunning bowl and stand by George Davidson & Co in purple 'cloud glass'. This type of glass work was unique to Davidson and their designs were dedicated to the Art Deco aesthetic that was so popular in the 20s and 30s. The shape can be seen in the firm's catalogue for 1931 where the bowl and stand are also combined with a separate pierced flower holder in the same style which is absent here. With its archetypal shape this would be a great addition to any Art Deco collection as well as providing a striking piece of interior decoration for a contemporary interior.| Size: | 24cm diameter and 12cm high |
