Two Ketsuzan Kiln plates from the Poetic Visions of Japan Series, Japan 1988

These are two decorative plates depicting Japanese beauties. Made at the Ketsuzan Kiln in 1988, the series, entitled 'Poetic Visions of Japan', was designed by the Master Artist, Yoshiharu Katoh, They are decorated with vividly hand coloured transfer prints and marked with a description of the scene in Japanese on the reverse.
