A attractive matched pair of oil paintings on panel, each depicting a river scene in a contrasting but complementary style, the first with the tree lined banks of the river depicted at sunset, the second with more emphasis on the water and its reflections, a prominent tree to the foreground and the sky suggesting sunrise.Both are clearly signed with the names of two different artists but who worked in a similar style and were both clearly inspired by the scenes they were painting.
