Japanese Arita Blue and White Bowl
Japanese Arita Blue and White Bowl of shallow flaring form with a lightly lobed rim and a short foot, decorated in deep underglaze blue to the interior and exterior with a design of sages in a stylised landscape scene with bamboo and rocks, the centre of the interior with a roundel of stylised floral blooms and a border of repeating geometric design.
