Four watercolours of birds, signed, mounted and framed, C20th

A set of four small watercolours of birds in countryside settings, all signed and probably by the same artist with variants of the initials ‘A’ ‘G’. These attractive images are most likely the work of an accomplished English amateur artist and probably date to the mid twentieth century. This is confirmed by the format of the telephone number of the framer which includes the letters ‘WIM’ (for Wimbledon). These letter/number combinations ceased in 1966 when they were replaced by all figure dialing.
