Egyptian silver ring depicting Isis, c1970

This is a ring that was made in Egypt for the tourist trade. Egyptian silver work has always been excellent and pieces with this iconography are always popular. This example wraps around the finger with an image of Isis at the front, the goddess of magic, motherhood, healing, and protection. It is marked 'Silver' on the inside of the shank.
