Large butterscotch amber brooch, Denmark, c1970

This is a massive and striking statement brooch that comprises the most beautiful amber stones. It has a large main stone and three elaborate pendants comprising rectangular tablets and beads with silver metal links. A fine example of Danish design it dates to the 1970s but equally has a very contemporary feel.
