Pink and yellow enamel silver butterfly brooch, Norway c1950

This is a fine quality guilloche enamel butterfly brooch in pink, yellow and lavender with a silver backing. It is from Norway and dates to the mid twentieth century. This design was very popular and was made by various manufacturers and artists including Hroar Prydz, Jens Jensen and David Andersen but their pieces usually carried their studio mark so this brooch, which is simply marked 'Sterling', cannot be securely attributed to them. It is more than their equal, nevertheless.
