LOT NUMBER 10
Swedish Kosta Glass Vase designed by Vicke Lindstrand circa 1960
A Swedish Glass Vase of flattened ovoid form very thickly blown with a hollow interior and an interior bubble, the flat base with a slightly concave roundel to the centre etched 'Kosta LH 1616'. The Kosta Glass factory was founded in 1742 and while subject to various amalgamations and takeovers continues to make glass to this very day. Vicke Lindstrand was one of the many designers who have worked with the firm and other pieces by him with the same pattern mark 'L H 1616' are known. This piece was designed in the early 1960s and reflects the general style of pieces at that time.Size: | Ht 13.5cm Width (max) 6cm |
