Catalin bead necklace with amulet c1950

This is a very unusual necklace comprising large dual-coloured grey beads. These are Catalin which is an early plastic. The beads have been Simichrome tested and are not Bakelite.

The beads are strung onto silk cord and end with a silvered metal amulet. This is most likely Turkish in origin.
