LOT NUMBER 12
Long strand of butterscotch amber coloured beads c1960
This is a bold statement necklace comprising graduated round beads. These are made from an early plastic called Catalin. They have been Simichrome tested and they are not Bakelite. There are glass spacer beads and no clasp. One of the beads has small pin prick holes as someone must have done a heated needle test for amber. See images.Size: | Large bead 21.5 x 18 mm, 90 cm long |
Weight: | 170 grams |
Date: | c1960 |
Condition: | Very good but, as stated above, there is one bead where a heated needle test has been done which does not detract from the necklace, see images |
Estimate: | £20 – 30 |
