The training wheels are off! Intercollector launches today.

Today is a day that we at Intercollector will be remembering for many years to come. After three years of development, we have finally taken the training wheels off and have launched our upcoming November auctions. For a long time, we had the site available for testing and through this process where able to really take the time to make improvements and fix any bugs that came up.

This is a time for celebration but also reflection. As I wrote back in August, launching a business is what separates the men from the boys or the wheat from the chaff so to speak.  It is extremely difficult to breach that chasm that is planning a business and then actually launching it. All the dream parts of the process, some of which do keep you going in hard times, don’t matter anymore. Now all that is ahead is hard work and long hours.  We love the work of course so no complaints, but it is important to let go of the fantasy and focus on the details. There is no quick fix or easy solution to gaining an audience or building a seller network.  There is no replacement for plugging away and building client relationships slowly, so they last and grow along with the business.  Right now, it is not about the volume of users but about the quality and making sure that every person has a good experience with us.

Anyway, enough serious stuff.  This is a great day and we must enjoy it!

Many thanks to the team, Colin, Malte, Adam and Lawrence. And a special thank you to our founding sellers. You make everything possible!
