Two Vintage Japanese Geisha Dolls, C20th
Two Vintage Japanese Geisha Dolls, the first dressed in an elaborate floral kimono and holding a headdress with flowing hair, the second slightly smaller and dressed in a simpler robe decorated with a stylised river scene and calligraphy; she holds a musical instrument and the base is signed. These are excellent examples of the rather charming dolls made in Japan after the 1950s and probably date to the 1980s.
