Murano bud glass vase with paperweight base, second half C20th
A bud glass vase with a long narrow and very slightly flaring neck above a globular body, the neck deep purple with white streak highlights and the body with a coloured relief sculpture of a flower growing from rocks in the style of a paperweight. This model was produced at Murano in the later years of the twentieth century and was clearly popular from the number of similar pieces which can be found today.
