Long marble effect green Bakelite Necklace, British 1930s
A very unusual green Bakelite necklace made of connected round and rectangular beads with brass link fittings. Green bakelite beads are less commonly found but the marbling effect here is even rarer still and must have been difficult to achieve. Again, the squared rectangular form occurs much less often and its use here suggests a dating to the 1930s with its reflection of the Art Deco style so fashionable at the time.| Size: | 90 cm; rectangular beads 2cm, round beads 80mm |
